Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) We usually don't talk about the ‘Toys for Tots’ fundraiser in August, but some retired marines are trying to promote the cause at area fairs.

Ralph DuBois has been showcasing the Toys for Tots train at county fairs this summer, most recently the Jerome County Fair.

They are collecting toys for Toys for Tots program, a program that has been in existence since 1947.

In its first year, they brought in five thousand toys, as of 2009, they have collected more than 500–million toys for children.

But they need your help.

"All of the toys given in a specific location will stay in that area so if Cassia County gives toys, toys will stay in Burley, Declo area," adds DuBois.

You can find the train at the Cassia County parade on August 15th at ten a.m. And they'll be in Gooding at 7 that night.

Please bring a new, unwrapped toy when you see the train. They hope to have as many people come out as possible.
