Trade In Your Candy For Karate Lessons

By Joey Martin

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) There has always been one undeniable truth when it came to holidays like Valentine's Day and Easter... There is never a shortage of candy for your child to consume.

That's why one local Martial Arts Instructor is doing what he can to limit all that sugar intake.

Brian Higgins from Success Martial Arts invited local children to trade in their holiday candy for some free lessons.

Every child that brings in a bag of candy is signed up for 3 free weeks of Martial Arts training from Higgins himself.

“The thought is wonderful, but the candy itself is not something we need a whole bunch of in the house. So isn’t it nice if we could help people to repurpose it.”
Said Senior Instructor at Success Martial Arts, Brian Higgins.

All of the candy that is collected will be boxed up and sent to U.S. Troops stationed overseas.

If you weren't able to make it to Success Martial Arts on Monday, don't worry.

Instructor Higgins says they will continue to offer the 3 free weeks for about another week.
