Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The jury trial for a former substitute teacher facing child sex abuse charges has been rescheduled.
The trial for 24-year old Kenneth Howard Atencio was supposed to get underway this week, but it will now start June 4th.
A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for May 19th.
Atencio substituted 18 days last year in the Jerome school district, according to Superintendent Dale Layne.
Jerome court records show between June and August of 2013, he committed two counts of lewd conduct with a minor under 16.
And two counts of sexual abuse of a minor under 16.
