Turkey Shoot Raises Money for Local Children

By Aimee Burnett

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Christmas for Kids/ Toys for Tots is continuing its fundraising events.

Sunday at the Twin Falls Gun Club the organization held its annual turkey shoot.

Dozens came out to compete for their chance at a variety of prizes including turkeys.

With the slow economic recovery the need in our local community remains high.

"Every year we've increased on an average of three–hundred. Last year we saw an increase of over 1,500 kids, so we're just looking at a heavy need," Debbie Johnson, Christmas for Kids.

Donation bins are located in several spots around town.

Toys are needed for children ages infant to 16–years old.

You can also drop your donation off here at KMVT at 1100 Blue Lakes Boulevard North.
