Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) We've received calls regarding the disappearance of a local high school statue. The Twin Falls High School bear is no longer perched on top of the rocks at the corner of Filer and Locust.

While some might believe the bear fell victim to a rivalry between Canyon Ridge and Twin Falls, think again.

It's actually in a storage room inside the school's gymnasium.

"The bear was in the front foyer and our school is being remodeled so we had to find an alternative place for the bear so when we moved it outside, we thought it be exposed out there, nice and neat, and unfortunately some people thought it was going to get stolen, which I don't know if it would or would not of," adds Student Council Advisor and Activities Director Mike Federico.

The bear will remain in storage until the student council decides what to do next.
