Twin Falls Boy In Need Of Wheelchair Accessible Van

By Brittany Cooper

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A Twin Falls boy with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy needs your help.

You may remember Tanner Hopkinson from our "Season of Wishes" series.

He's a Make a Wish recipient and for his wish, he chose to meet the dinosaurs at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

But sadly, currently there are no acceptable treatments or a cure for his disease.

Tanner's 9 and his family needs an accessible van to help him get around.

Safety is a big concern, especially with the type of transportation they currently have.

Kim Hopkinson, Tanner's mom explains, "what we have right now is a mini–van and it works sort of for our needs, but it's not really wheel chair accessible we have ramps on it, portable ramps that we used back and forth from the van to the house. We need a van that has a lift on it or a ramp where he can drive right up into the back of the van."

Tanner's aunt created a page on, that has resulted in 12–hundred shares on social media and donations have reached $600 so far.
