Twin Falls County Approves 2013 Budget
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Every year, county commissioners all over the country have to hammer out their annual budgets.
Today the Twin Falls County Commissioners gave their okay to the final budget for the fiscal year that starts October first. One of the commissioners says that the two costs that are impossible to predict are the healthcare costs for county employees and the price of gasoline for county vehicles. Twin Falls County Commissioner Terry Kramer says, "We have no idea whether that value's going to be $3, or $4, or $4.50. When we're trying to do a budget a year in advance to predict that. So we're trying to get realistic costs for all of our departments, but there are some of those that we just cannot predict." Kramer says the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Department uses roughly the same amount of gasoline every year. But it's hard to say what those prices will be a year from now. Sept. 5, 2012. Comments ( |
