Twin Falls County Nails Down FY 2014 Budget

By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Two months ago, the Twin Falls County Commissioners started hammering out their budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Since then they've gotten requests from all of the county departments, and in recent weeks they also held public hearings to get comments from local citizens.

Commissioner George Urie says, "We've already had our hearings, and we've adopted the budget. We had a resolution that we passed yesterday, I believe. So we're finished with our budget."

Urie explains the $40 million budget is down about two percent from last year. In recent years, it's been fairly stable. The new budget year begins October first.
