By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Twin Falls County Commissioners set aside some money to help volunteer emergency medical technicians stay up to date.

The Twin Falls County Ambulance District was created eight years ago. It's a taxing district that helps support ambulance service. About $50,000 a year goes to the four quick response units in Twin Falls County.

Twin Falls County Commissioner Terry Kramer says, "So that our volunteer EMTs can have free access to training so they can stay certified, and make it easier for them. So we have increased a line of $5,000 to create this library for training for our volunteer EMTs."

Kramer says the four quick response units in Twin Falls County are in Buhl, Filer, and Castleford, as well as the Rock Creek QRU which serves eastern Twin Falls County.
