Twin Falls County approves 2011 budget

By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT) - The Twin Falls County Commissioners approved their $37 Million budget for the fiscal budget year that begins October 1st.

The biggest challenge they faced was an 18 percent jump in health insurance premiums, which they managed to make up for by freezing current wages, and factoring in the reduced costs of several programs.

The Twin Falls County budget for fiscal year 2011 only went up by less than one percent, compared to this year's budget; and the county was able to keep all of the positions of the current employees.
