Co–founder Craig Culver's dreams are coming true.
He started from one restaurant in Wisconsin 30 years ago to having over 500 locations across the country.
And today, opening the first Culver's in the state of Idaho.
"We started with one restaurant, with no expectations of ever having two restaurants... but we have 509 restaurants open. And now to see us in states like Idaho, and Arizona, and Colorado and Florida. To me it's just... what... somebody pinch me, wake me up... is it true!."
The owner of the twin falls culver's location, Eugene Smith worked on a Wisconsin dairy for over 30 years.
With a love of culver's running through his blood, he felt it was time to hang up his boots and pick up a spatula.
"My mother started working in a Culver's 16 years ago. So we started going in and we loved the hospitality... we loved the food, just the whole atmosphere and we decided to make a change."
Said the Owner of the Twin Falls Culver’s, Eugene Smith.
A dairy farm in Wisconsin is a long ways away from the high deserts of Idaho.
What was it about Twin Falls that made it the best location for a new Culver's?
"We always loved Idaho... Wisconsin is really full of Culver's, there is one everywhere. And we came to Twin Falls because of the dairy industry, it felt like home."
Shawn Barigar is the President of the Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.
He says a new chain like culvers is a sign that Twin Falls and the Magic Valley is continuing to grow.
"The Twin Falls area and the Magic Valley in General is a very great place. We've been able to share that story throughout the country and to around the world to some other companies in the past year or so. That word is spreading and it's a wonderful place for people to make investment, help us grow the economy, and for those of us who live here it's a great opportunity to enjoy these new goods and services."
Said Shawn Barigar, President of the Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.
New businesses, new jobs, and new opportunities to help make Twin Falls and the Magic Valley an economic force not to be reckoned with.
And it looks as if Twin Falls won't be the Gem States only Culver's location.
