UPDATE: Twin Falls Police Investigate Suspicious Package

UPDATE (3:28 PM) Twin Falls Police have concluded their investigation of a suspicious package.

The contents of the briefcase turned out to be papers and books.

The area is re-open to residents at this time.

UPDATE (3:08 PM) - The initial call about the package came in at around 1:30 PM.

The leather briefcase was located in front of Plum Natural Organic Market and Deli.

There is writing on briefcase.

The bomb squad initially used an X-Ray machine to examine the package then decided to bring the robot out to inspect it further.

Officials with the City of Twin Falls are asking all residents to avoid the area while police work to secure the scene.

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Twin Falls Police are investigating a suspicious package at 2nd and Hansen.

The bomb squad with robot assistance is currently looking at what officials believe is a briefcase.
