Twin Falls Police Investigating Counterfeit Money

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Twin Falls Police are currently investigating several instances where counterfeit money has been used in the area. Lt. Craig Stotts said they were alerted of fraudulent $20 bills in circulation just before Christmas. Since then, officials have found not only $20’s, but $50 and $100 bills being circulated. In addition officials say there have been counterfeit checks and checks in Jerome and Twin Falls.
Merchants are asked to use caution when dealing with large domination bills. If questionable money is spotted, you are asked to contact the local police department. The police are working several leads and are continuing their investigation into the incident.
