Nampa, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - A Twin Falls resident was sent to the hospital following a four vehicle pileup. The Idaho State Police say they were called to the scene at about 7:30 am Monday near Nampa on I-84. Andrea Shepherd, 26 of Twin Falls, ID, was traveling eastbound in a 1999 Subaru Legacy. Traffic had slowed when Shepherd failed to yield and struck a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. Thad Harris, 35 of Caldwell, ID, swerved his Jeep Wrangler and came to rest in the median. Shepherd's vehicle then struck a 2013 Chrysler 200. Rebecca McNutt, age 30 of Caldwell, ID, was traveling eastbound in the Chrysler when she struck a 2007 Honda Accord. The Honda, driven by Randall Jensen, age 62 of Ontario, OR, came to rest on the median shoulder.

Shepherd's vehicle came to rest in the left lane of the interstate and the lane was blocked for approximately one hour while crews worked to clear the scene. State Police say Shepherd was cited for inattentive/careless driving.

Shepherd and McNutt were transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Nampa. Hospital officials both were treated and released.
