Twin Falls School District Looking At Possible $74 Million Bond
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Due to the community's growth, the Twin Falls School District is looking at possibly running a bond in March.
The nearly $74,000,000 bond will address facility needs in the district.
Director of Operations Brady Dickinson tells us Canyon Ridge High School is at capacity and needs classrooms and Twin Falls has classrooms, but needs to be upgraded.
As we've mentioned before, there are recommendations to build two elementary schools and a middle school, plus making safety upgrades at all schools.
"They're needs that are necessary, it's not just based on it would be nice to have new schools. It's based on we're out of room and we need to take care of classroom space and also Twin Falls High School, it's really important that we spend time and money to bring that school up to where we would like to see it," adds Dickinson.
He explains a committee will study the growth and attractive locations for those schools. These decisions have not been made as of yet, but will involve public input.
