Twin Falls Tonight, Market On Main Team Up For Summer Concerts
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Downtown alive is the group behind the Wednesday night summer concert series. This kickoff event featured the Jason Lugo Band, which is an indicator of good things to come this summer in Downtown Twin Falls.
Tony Prater, Co-Organizer of Twin Falls Tonight, says, "Jason Lugo will be our first and last group to come. We have a lot of all new names this year. A few of the regulars, but a lot of new people, which is great. And we may have something, we're working on it, maybe for a year-end super wrap-up after Oktoberfest. So we'll see how that turns out." Prater says Twin Falls Tonight was held on six Wednesdays last year, and he says concert goers wanted even more. There are nine Twin Falls Tonight dates this year, except for the 4th of July. Another new feature is the Friday Night Market has moved to Wednesday nights just down the block from the concert. Downtown shopper Amy Huddleston says, "The music always attracts us, the food is always good, and it's always nice to get out in the summertime and see Twin Falls, and see people around. That's why we're down here." Judi Baxter, Coordinator of Market on Main, says, "The main thing is, people like to see downtown thrive, and this is their chance to come support it. Come on down and listen to some great music, support the vendors that are here, do a little window shopping." The Twin Falls Tonight concert series and the Market on Main are held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, next to the fountain on Main Avenue in Downtown Twin Falls. June 20, 2012. Comments ( |
