Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The City of Twin Falls has revamped its website and want to start streaming city council meetings over the internet.

New equipment was installed in the Twin Falls City Council Chambers in recent weeks. A small overhead camera will capture the proceedings at city council meetings. That will allow citizens who can't attend the meetings in person to watch on their computers.

Joshua Palmer, Public Information Officer for the City of Twin Falls, says, "It allows live streaming of all city meetings via your desktop computer or mobile device. Part of that is just to increase accessibility. We want as many people as possible to be involved and see the transparency that we encourage in our city government."

Palmer says it's the city's goal to get citizens involved in planning and zoning meetings as early as possible. You can find our more at the City of Twin Falls website at tfid.org .
