Twin Falls, Idaho - A local man facing excessive DUI and injury to a child charges had a pre-trial conference Wednesday.

Twin Falls Police say back in may, 37-year old Eric Steven Roberts was driving at 85 to 90 miles per hour in a 35-mile per hour zone, as he allegedly attempted to elude them.

Police pulled him over on Blue Lakes Boulevard, then Roberts put the vehicle in reverse and allegedly tried to hit the police car; authorities say Roberts had a child with him in the car.

Wednesday he pled guilty to a reduced charge of DUI, second offense while the count of injury to a child was dismissed.

He will be sentenced on August 3rd at 9:30 a.m.
