Twin Falls City - Dog Off Leash Proposal
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Twin Falls Park and Recreation commission proposed to allow dogs off leashes in local parks.
Commission officials would first implement a one–year pilot program, allowing certain parks to have dogs with no leashes. The pilot would include three or four sites, have signage at each park, and specify certain off–leash hours. "We've looked at a couple of areas one is Rock Creek Canyon Parkway not the county park but the city's park. We even looked at Baxter's park where the future dog park is. Right now if you have your dog out it must be on a leash” said Dennis Bowyer, Twin Falls Park and Recreation. The recommendations of the commission will be forwarded to the city council for their considerations. Comments ( |
