Crash Kills Two Near Bliss; Three Others Sent To Hospital
Gooding County, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A Burley man and a Nampa woman were killed Friday after a crash on Interstate 84.
Idaho State Police say Chelsea L. Sorenson, 22, of Nampa was headed west in a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt on Interstate-84, when she lost control, drove into the median and overturned.
The accident happened at 6:47 p.m. near milepost 135 in Gooding County.
Her car continued into the eastbound lanes, colliding with a 2010 Nissan Maxima driven by Ryan Bowen, 23, of Burley. Ryan died at the scene.
Sorensen was air lifted to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise where she later died.
Franklin D. Bowen, 52, of Burley, ID, Nedra G. Bowen, 50, of Burley, ID, and Loralee Bowen, 17, of Burley, ID, were passengers in Bowens vehicle. They were all air lifted to St. Alphonsus.
All drivers and passengers were wearing seatbelts.
Both eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 were blocked for approximately four and a half hours. The crash is ongoing.
