Two Vehicle Accident In Gooding County Blocks Traffic On Highway 46
UPDATE 3:00 PM - From the Idaho State Police: On June 2, 2014, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of state highway 46 and 2100 S near Gooding.
Kodi Brown, 33, of Thayne, Wyoming, was traveling south on state highway 46 in a 2010 Ford F150. John Kemper, 24, of Hagerman, Idaho, was traveling east on 2100 South in a 1998 Subaru Legacy. Kemper failed to stop at a stop sign, entered the intersection, and was struck by Brown.
Brown was transported by ground ambulance to North Canyon Medical in Gooding, and Kemper was transported by air ambulance to St Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise.
Both subjects were wearing their seatbelts
UPDATE 11:30 AM - Authorities say both lanes of travel are now open. Further information will be forthcoming, according to the Idaho State Police.
Gooding, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Troopers from the Idaho State Police are investigating a two vehicle accident that has sent at least one person to the hospital. The accident on Highway 46 between Wendell and Gooding has police diverting traffic onto shoestring road. Police and rescue workers were called to the scene at milepost 109 around 9-am this Monday morning.
Authorities say the road will be blocked for some time as police investigate and the wreckers remove the vehicles. Motorists needing to travel in the area are encouraged to choose an alternate route.
