U Of I College Of Agriculture Free Family BAR-B-Q
Kimberley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Every two years the University of Idaho College Of Agriculture and life sciences holds a free family BAR-B-Q.
Wednesday night in Kimberly many hands on exhibits are were available to learn more about our local agriculture.
Exhibits such as an insect petting zoo, the ins and outs of a cow stomach and even a cow chip Olympics.
Families also enjoyed live music from The Barking Owls and fries from Lamb Weston.
However most people are there to learn.
Professor Of Weed Science Don Morishita says,
"We've had some people that have had a great interest in weeks, because weeds may be a particular problem on their property or on their farm, and then other people who have been having problems with insects in their crops or in their garden and that’s an opportunity for them to learn more about insects."
