Minidoka Fire Complex, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Fire crews says The Cave Canyon fire has control lines completely around the perimeter and crews have finished burning out along the lines to secure the edge on the west side of the fire. Improvements will continue to be made on this and all other portions of the line as crews work further in from the control lines mopping up. Crews will continue rehabilitating dozer lines.

Occasional smoke will likely be seen as interior green pockets burn. Monday will bring a greater chance of thunderstorms to the area as well as more potential for large fire growth due to instability in the atmosphere. The fire is 57% contained with a total of 83,804 acres burned.

Deer Hollow Fire: Had no perimeter growth yesterday. Additional crews will be joining the efforts from the Cave Canyon fire to assist with existing crews already in place. The latest acreage is 5,440 and 35% contained.

Hot Well Fire: Crews are continuing to extinguish any hotspots along the edge of the fire line. The fire is holding at 3,056 acres as firefighters continue to secure the edge. A few engines will be released today for local initial attack on the fire district as needed. This fire is currently 45% contained.

Murtaugh Lake and Goose Creek Reservoir will be closed due to fire suppression activities.
