UPDATE: No Gun found in Buhl High School Lockdown, One Student In Custody

UPDATE 3:02 pm: Buhl, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Police are now saying that what started the investigation was a report from the school that a staff member overheard a student talking during lunchtime of a gun at the school. The staff member reported what they heard to administration who immediately placed the school into lockdown and reported it to police. Police have taken a 19 year old senior boy into custody.

UPDATE 2:50 PM: Buhl, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) No gun was located, and the lockdown at Buhl High School is officially over says Idaho's First News' reporter on the scene.

UPDATE 2:47 PM: Buhl, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) No gun was located, but Buhl High School is still on lockdown, says Buhl School District Superintendent, Byron Stutzman.

Students told school officials there was a gun in the school during lunch time, says Byron Stutzman, Buhl School District Superintendent.

Police were dispatched at 12:43 PM to Buhl High School.

A thorough search of the building with police and Idaho Fish and Game search dogs did not find any weapons.

Stutzman says no gun was located in the high school.

Students are still locked down at this time.

Students and staff are in no immediate danger.

Idaho State Police, the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office and Idaho Fish and Game are all assisting with the lockdown.

Buhl, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Buhl High School is currently on lockdown, according to Buhl Chief of Police, Eric Foster.

No other information is available at this time.
