U.S. Senator Risch Discusses Status Of Bowe Bergdahl

Washington DC ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - During a public hearing of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence this Wednesday afternoon, Idaho U.S. Senator Jim Rish discussed the status of U.S. Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl. The Sergeant is a Hailey, Idaho native.

On June 30th, 2009. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was seized in Afghanistan.

Four and half years later, he's believed to be held by the Taliban–aligned Haqqani network in Pakistan.

In attendance of the hearing was the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, CIA Director John Brennan, FBI Director James Comey, Defense intelligence Agency Director Lieutenant General Michael Flynn and the Director of the National County Terrorism Center Matt Olson. They all appeared on the panel before the committee. The panel discussed the frequent interchange that goes on about Bergdahl.

On January 15, the U.S. Military received a new video showing Bergdahl. A military official said it appeared Bergdahl’s health was diminished.
