Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The Postal Service and its letter carriers are holding their annual food drive this Saturday, May 10th.

Idahoans are encouraged to participate in the food drive by placing non-perishable food like peanut butter and canned goods in plastic bags.

Leave them by your mailboxes before the mail delivery on Saturday, and the Postal Service will collect the goods.

All the food collected will go to local community food banks and pantries.

Last year Americans donated 74 million pounds of food, including more than 350 thousand pounds of food in the Gem State.
