Burley, Idaho (KMVT-TV) United Way's annual Workplace Giving Campaign is underway.

But what's making its debut, is the United Way 5–K Fun Run at Dot Foods in Burley.

Despite the poor weather on Saturday morning, they had more than 80 participants, which pleased the company seeing this is the first ever event.

Dot Foods and United Way have had a solid relationship over the years.

"Dot Foods historically have been big supporters of United Way and this is our kick–off for our annual United Way Drive," adds Terry Andrew of Dot Foods.

United Way Executive Director Bill Knopp adds, "what they do is get their employees engaged and excited about contributing."

Knopp says United Way is shooting for 150 to 200 thousand dollars in the Workplace Giving Campaign.
