Update On Albertsons Stores
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV) A multi–billion dollar deal is affecting a major grocery chain with Idaho ties.
A Cerberus–lead investment group has cut a deal to acquire 877 stores from Supervalu Incorporated...including the Albertsons chain. The deal totals about 3.3 billion dollars. Albertsons was founded in Boise back in the 1930's. Company spokeswoman Lilia Rodriguez wouldn't comment on the situation, but says it's business as usual for the grocery chain and they're focused on doing the right things for the community.
