Update On Donations Towards Twin Falls Fireworks Show

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The 4th of July will be here sooner than you think.
 
And the Magic Valley citizens for the 4th of July currently has $16,000 going towards this year's fireworks display. That includes eight thousand from the city.

But officials say $16,000 only equals sixteen minutes of fireworks.

So there are some opportunities coming up to help fundraise. First up on June 28th at CSI, you can participate in the CSI Firecracker Run.

Then on July 4h, it's the Allstate Blue 4th of July Pancake Breakfast.

Officials say if everyone in Twin Falls donated, it will be less of a worry.

"So if everybody gives $2 we would be there and I wouldn't have to worry about this for five years because that would give be $20,000 every year," adds Peggy Kidd, Co-Chair of the fireworks committee.

 

The csi firecracker run again will be held june 28 starting at seven pm on the csi fitness trail..

The breakfast is held the morning of the fourth in the city park.

If you can't make those events, you can donate at Stevens Pierce and Associates or at the United Oil Sinclair Stations in Twin Falls and Filer.
