Utah Trucker Pleaded Guilty to Vehicular Manslaughter
Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) - Utah trucker, Byrus Gatewood, was back in court to change his plea.
Gatewood was originally charged with felony vehicular manslaughter.
That was amended to misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter which Gatewood pleaded guilty to.
Gatewood is accused of killing a Wood River Valley woman last summer.
Police said the truck he was driving struck the woman while she was standing at the back of her car.
Traffic had been stopped at a construction area on Highway 93, north of Jerome.
Gatewood’s sentencing is set for June 11.
