Valentine’s Day Shopping In The Magic Valley

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Valentine's Day is right around the corner..

And local store Rosebud's Florist is gearing up for the big day.

Nationally total spending for Valentine’s Day is expected to reach 17.3 billion dollars this year.

Of those buying gifts, about one-third will be giving flowers to their loved ones.

Desiree Burke, a manager at Rosebud's for 20 years, explains that not all shoppers plan their gifts in advance…

"There's a lot of gentlemen who do that, but it's great. We have enough product to accommodate them all."

About half of consumers are planning to celebrate the holiday this year.

The average shopper will spend 133 dollars on candy, cards, and other gifts.
