Vore gets 10-20 for child porn charges

By Jay Michaels

Burley, Idaho (KMVT) - A Burley man facing child pornography charges was sentenced Tuesday; Joel Riece Vore, 52, of Burley was charged with possession of, or use of a child in, sexually exploitative material, and sexual exploitation of a child, as well as violating his probation.

That was after police found more than two thousand child pornography images on computers that Vore owned.

The prosecutor said the probation violation happened when ore moved to another house in Burley, without updating his sex offender status.

The prosecutor also said that Vore ran a pornographic adult website during that time.

Vore's five day trial was originally set for early May, but he pled guilty to the sex-related charges later that month.

Tuesday, Vore said the images were already on some computers he bought second hand.

Fifth District Judge Michael Crabtree sentenced Vore to a minimum of ten years and a maximum of 20 years in prison, on the possession of sexually exploitative material and child sexual exploitation charges.

Crabtree also revoked Vore's probation and ordered him to serve at least two years concurrent with his other sentence.
