Voters Travel To Polls Today To Decide School Levies
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Today some Magic Valley School districts will be asking voters to decide on proposed supplemental levies. To make it easier, here is a link to find out exactly where your particular polling place is and whether you are registered to vote. TWIN FALLS – The school district asking for a two year $9-million supplemental levy that will assist the district to maintain operating costs. JEROME – The School District is asking for a $1.3-million dollar supplemental levy. Same levy as in the past except the district is asking for two years instead of one. HANSEN – The school district asking for a two year $190,000 supplemental levy. It will help maintain salary and benefits for school staff. GOODING - The district is asking voters approve a two year supplemental levy of $510,000. The money would be used for various resources and teacher salaries. CASSIA – The school district asking to renew a 10 year plant facilities levy that totals nearly $23-million. That’s double the current plant facilities levy. CAMAS COUNTY – The school district asking for $250,000. It’s the same amount as in the past.
