Want To Volunteer For Trailing Of The Sheep?
Hailey, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A popular festival is nearing its 17th year and organizers are looking for volunteers.
The Trailing of the Sheep returns once again to the Wood River Valley.
The four day event features a celebration of heritage and cultures of sheep ranching in Blaine County.
Last year approximately 19,000 attended the festivities with an economic impact of around $3.5 million.
It takes more than 300 volunteers to make this event happen each year.
Mary Austincrofts, the executive director tells us Mark Kurlanksy, who's "written 24 books including the Basque History of the World coming, it's going to be really fun, we have the Hot Club of Cowtown coming from Austin, Texas."
The festival takes place October 10th through the 13th. Please call (208) 720-0585 for more information, or if you'd like to volunteer.
