Weekend Crafts Fair Raising Money For Good Cause

By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Coming up this Saturday, a special crafts fair fundraiser will be held in Filer to help raise money to make one paralyzed individual's life just a little bit easier.

On Saturday, December 1st, the Filer Middle School gymnasium will be packed to the brim with an array of food, crafts and fun with the sole intent of raising enough money to purchase a handicap assessable van for Andrew Silveria.

Andrew was paralyzed in an automobile accident this last summer.

Since then, Andrew has had move back home with his parents.

With a little bit of help from the community, the money raised from the craft fair will go a long way in getting this young man's life back on track.

“He is a young man that graduated from Filer high School that already had disabilities and then was in a accident this summer and was paralyzed and is now a quadriplegic. He’s not able to get out of his home; he had to move back into his mom’s home. So this will allow him and his mom to go out into the community, allows him to get out of his house. Were trying to raise $5,000 for the van, we need about $3,500 more and so it would be a great way to give him a really good Christmas present.” Said Fundraiser Coordinator Denise Bradbury.

Admission to the fair is free to the public.

The money that will be raised will come out of the registration for booth from vendors.

If you would like to be a vendor at this weekend's fair you can e-mail Denise at AndrewFundraiser@yahoo.com
