West Nile Cases, Mosquito Numbers Down
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Only two confirmed cases of West Nile Virus have been reported locally this summer.
A Jerome man was diagnosed with West Nile, and another case in Twin Falls County was reported. A representative from the South Central Public Health District says the second person picked up the virus while visiting in McCall. Kirk Tubbs with the Twin Falls Pest Abatement District says this year's mosquito season is almost over. He says there aren't very many mosquitoes right now due to several very cool nights. He says the first serious frost should kill all of the remaining mosquitoes. Sept. 7, 2012. Comments ( |
