Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) A local organization is recognizing health heroes in our community, and it needs your help to do so.
South Central Public Health District is looking for individuals or groups who stand out from the crowd.
Such as those working to prevent disease, promoting healthy lifestyles, and protecting the health of local citizens.
Nominees are being recognized for their efforts in 2013.
They must be a resident or do business in one of the eight local counties.
"Every year we are looking at members of the community who do either volunteer work or things that help improve the health of the community or health of individuals, either through promotion or health education, even some of the health protection, things that we do. It's designed not for our staff, but community members," explains Rene R. LeBlanc, MS, RS, South Central Public Health District.
Nominations are due by Saturday, May 31st.
