Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Magic Valley is making regional news for its economic boom.

In this month’s issue of the North Idaho Business journal, Twin Falls is featured as the "secret sauce" of Idaho.

It's the question everyone's wondering. How is the magic valley bringing in so many large corporations, which is adding hundreds of jobs?

"I think the recession is over in Idaho and its defiantly booming in this area. We are really going to see the affects of these new businesses over the next couple of years,” said Rebecca Wildman, Business Plus.

According to the North Idaho Business Journal, the area is seeing an economic punch of a $750-million capital investment.

"Over the past 12 months we've had over 1,200 new jobs to the region based on business announcements or business grand openings. That includes Chobani, Clif Bar, Frulact Group over in Rupert and others,” said Wildman.

So, what is the secret sauce to bringing in business? Many say its teamwork made by community leaders and business owners.

"I think it's a combination of several things including the College of Southern Idaho, our organization, and Business Plus which is the private investor part of economic development,” said Ruth Pierce, S.E.I.D.O.

However, the business journal article believes it's the cows that is generating economic development.

"Chobani is here because of our cows, which played a huge part in bringing in that business."

Creating jobs for Idahoans and most importantly growing the Southern Idaho economy.
