Wine, Shopping And Breast Cancer Awareness

By Brittany Cooper

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Wine, hors d'oeuvres, shopping? Sounds like a day in paradise, right ladies?

The organization Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is offering an opportunity to enjoy these things, plus gain hold of your finances.
The event features a Q and A on money–related questions and benefits a great cause.

Organizer Tarah Kropp explains, "bring a friend, this is going to be a fun event, we're going to have brochures and it's going to be a like a workshop type thing, and shopping, it's for a good cause."

Make plans to attend Thursday evening at the Vendor Blender Event Center.

A suggested $10 donation is accepted at the door. Thrivent Financial will match funds up to $500 for the Dianne K. Bolt Breast Cancer Screening Memorial Fund.

Here is a little more information about the Dianne K Bolt Fund. Bolt passed away in 2009 after a battle with breast cancer.

On average, the fund provides 30 free mammograms each year in Twin Falls. This is good news as the average cost of a mammogram is $150.

About one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
