Wings & Things Tailgating event held in Twin Falls
Whether it was a wings eating contest, cheering on your favorite school or just simply taste testing all of the different types of wings and food, there was plenty for all to do today at the 2nd annual wings & things ultimate tailgate challenge.
Dustin Godfrey, the chair of the event, explains the purpose of Wings & Things. "Wings and things is a big tail gating event and what we are doing with the Twin Falls Optimist Club is we actually raise money for the kids in the community."
Money raised from the event will go to help re-surface the track at the O'Leary Middle School.
The optimist club also donated money to the school that showed the most school spirit and today's event also donated money to the coach's school who won the wing eating contest.
Local area businesses and organizations also came out to show support.
Alex Rosales was helping out at the White Mortuary wings booth today. "I'm cooking for White Mortuary and Reynolds Funeral Chapel and we have chicken wings going. Two big pots with a lot of oil and a bunch of chicken wings and we've got Jamie, Kelly and Lyle out here helping us and they are doing a great job."
The event featured wings, barbeque, dutch over and chili dishes.
