Winter Weather To Impact Southern Idaho On Wednesday

By Brandon Redmond

Southern Idaho (KMVT-TV) Do you have your snow shovels ready? You'll need them across Southern Idaho on Wednesday. A weather system will bring snow to the entire area. The National Weather Service has all of Southern Idaho under Winter Weather Advisories through Wednesday Night.

Snow will be falling by Wednesday Morning but the heaviest snow should fall during the late morning and early afternoon hours. Road conditions will likely deteriorate as the snow falls.

Gusty winds up to 30 mph could also create problems due to blowing and drifting of the snow.

3-4" of snow will accumulate in Twin Falls, Burley, Jerome and Gooding. 4-6" of snow is possible in Rupert, Shoshone and Wendell. Higher amounts of 4-8" are possible across the South Hills and in Jackpot.
