By KMVT News

Southern Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) A local woman is strapping on her hiking shoes and enduring the Pacific Crest Trail in a trek for MS.

Megan Bullers' father has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis....

Now she is hiking from Mexico to Canada in the hope of raising fifty-thousand dollars for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Bullers plans to start the journey this Sunday and tackle the 2,650 miles in five months.

"I heard of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2006, and I just knew immediately I wanted to do it for MS. My dad has had it since the year 2000, so it's affected a good part of my life. I've always been very adventurous and outgoing, so when I heard of the PCT the two just came together,” Bullers explains.

She has a goal of 25 miles a day.
