Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The first snow of the season for the Wood River region is likely to happen on Wednesday and Thursday. That’s according to Idaho's First News Chief Meteorologist Brian Neudorff.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Blaine County beginning on Wednesday morning and lasting through midday on Thursday. A storm system will move across southern Idaho, bringing with it a chance of snow. Locations like Hailey, Sun Valley and Ketchum could see anywhere from one inch to three inches, while elevations above 7000 to 8000 feet could get as much as eight or ten inches of snow.

Galena Summit could also see its mountain passes covered in snow and have reduced visibility. For anyone planning to travel in this area Wednesday or Thursday, snow will produce dangerous driving conditions on mountain roads.
