Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) With the sun coming out, many people are looking for something to do in the area.
One fairly new attraction is starting to pick up more visitors.
Kris Haines isn't from around here, but he's taking advantage of one of Southern Idaho's newest attractions.
Zip The Snake.
"The lady at the hotel was telling us about it and we thought it'd be cool to check it out," says Haines.
Since its opening last year, the zip line attraction in the canyon has seen business pick up.
"Especially since school got out, the schedule is filling up for June and July," explains Jody Tatum, Zip The Snake.
The expectations for this year are even higher than last.
Tatum says, "I expect that we're going to be a lot busier. People already know a lot about us...we've taken some marketing strides. Hopefully those will pay off a little bit and we'll have some more riders. And I think word of mouth now. People who have ridden already and they're spreading the word for us."
The zip line boasts five different lines... For an experience which lasts about an hour.
As expected, the last and final line is the one everyone talks about.
"1750 feet. On that longest line, you will be zipping 300 feet further than the Perrine Bridge and you will be going about as fast or faster than the cars you see crossing the bridge... which is 45 miles per hour or more," explains Tatum.
And what did Haines think of his experience?
"It was pretty exciting, it was pretty fun," says Haines.
A bit of fun in a beautiful surrounding.
To ride the zip line, you must make reservations beforehand.
