JEROME, ID (KMVT-TV) - Here locally, a fundraiser was held to help out a member of the community in dire need of support.

Incorporated Fitness of Jerome hosted a zumba fit fundraiser to help raise some much needed funds for local Jerome resident, Maribel Olieas.

Maribel is a wife and mother of 3 small children who is currently suffering from lupus, which has caused both of her kidneys to ceased functioning.

She’s currently scheduled for a kidney transplant in the near future. But with lack of funds, the family is finding it hard to pay the bills.

So Saturday night her friends and family put on this fundraiser to help out in anyway they could.

“Right now we are actually doing a door donation of $20. And we are kind of hoping to raise anything. We will be thankful for whatever it is we get. Hopefully it’s enough to get us where we need to be.”
Said, Marcia Nab Event Organizer.

“Actually it is great support. I wouldn’t be able to do it without them. If it weren’t for them… I don’t know… giving me the strength to be able to fight this.” Said, Maribel Olieas.
