Less people attend the first day of the Twin Falls County Fair

By Paul Johnson

Maybe it’s the economy or maybe it’s something else. That’s the comment from Twin Falls county Fair Manager John Pitz about the number of people who did and didn’t show up for the fair yesterday.
Last year, the first day of the fair drew in 10,319 people while this year only a little under 9,300 folks went through the gates. That’s down about 10% from 2009.
Attendance at last night’s concert by .38 special was also low, with only around 1,700 to 1,800 people attending, according to Pitz.
