Two standoffs kept Nampa police officers busy on Saturday.

One of them involved a hold up at a daycare.

According to reports, police officials were attempting to serve warrants to Joshua Christofferson of Nampa, when he went inside the attic of a residential daycare and told authorities he’d threatened to kill the adults and three children inside the house if more police arrived.

After six hours, police crawled up into the attic and arrested the man. Police say no one was injured.

Christofferson is in custody and faces charges involving drugs and evading police.

Meanwhile, a man in the same area allegedly broke into his landlady’s house, stabbed her, assaulted her husband and slit his own throat.

Officials say, after the couple left the house, the suspect set it on fire.

The couple was treated at a hospital and released.

The suspect, who has not been charged, remains in critical condition at a Boise hospital.
