Steve Powell Sentenced For Voyeurism
Tacoma, Washington (KMVT-TV) 30-months behind bars and 36-months in community custody. That’s the sentence from Pierce County Court Judge Ronald Culpepper for Steve Powell. Powell was charged with 12 felony counts of voyeurism. Steve Powell is the father-in-law of missing Utah resident Susan Powell. Powell was charged with photographing girls that were 8 and 9 at the time, while they were bathing and using the toilet in their Puyallup home. The judge said that the 10 years in prison that prosecutors had suggested for Powell, was “excessive.” Powell, who has been detained in jail since his arrest in September will receive credit for that time. He was originally charged with 14 counts, but two of those were dismissed.
