Family Sues Website After Man Dies From Bike Race

San Francisco, California (CNN) The family of a bike rider who died in a crash is suing a popular biking website.
William "Kim" Flint died on June 19th, 20-10.
His family says he was riding in Berkley, California's Tilden Park -- going at least 10 miles over the speed limit of 30. He hit the brakes to avoid a car -- lost control and flipped.
The family's suing the website Strava-dot-com, where cyclists post their times and compete for bragging rights of the best times, as well as prizes. The family says the website encourages cyclists to speed down dangerous streets in populated areas. They say Flint died while trying to regain his record time on a route. They assume no responsibility, they don't put cones out, they don't have anyone monitor to see if a course or specific segment is dangerous. Strava issued a statement saying quote -- "The death of Kim Flint was a tragic accident, and we expressed our sincere condolences when it occurred in 2010. Based on the facts involved in the accident and the law, there is no merit to this lawsuit."
