Portland, Oregon (CNN) The beer at this festival might not look green, but it is.
More than 50 organic beers and ciders were available at Overlook Park in Portland Oregon.
Event organizers like to say they are saving the planet one beer at a time.
Their efforts went well beyond the beer, though.
Everyone who wanted a sample had to buy a reusable, compostable cornstarch glasses made at a solar-powered company.
The North American Organic Brewers Festival offered a discount on those glasses for people who rode their bike or used public transit to get to Overlook Park.
All ventors were required to use compostable plates and cutlery during the three-day event.
Volunteers even wore organic cotton and hemp t-shirts.
